Department of Psychology

Department of Psychology is one of the youngest departments of MASU that was established to meet anthropocentric tendencies of contemporary science. The department develops tools necessary for the emotional well-being and psychological security of all the parties engaged in the process of learning — students, teachers, parents. The department is also focused on the axiological aspects of education and identity formation of students and teachers.

Department research interests:

  • Psychological and social well-being of Arctic children and adolescents
  • Psychology of education
  • Social subjectivity of various age groups
  • Developing methods of psychological and pedagogical diagnostication
  • Tolerance and intolerance in the Arctic region
  • Psychological and pedagogical aspects of personal development
