MAU international student participated in Moscow UN Model

Alaa Aldeen Houria, the Syrian student of MAU Apatity branch, represented our University and Murmansk region at Churkin Moscow International Model UN in Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).

The UN Model is a combination of a conference and a role-play game, during which young students reconstruct the United Nations work. They take on roles of official representatives of the countries and defend their countries' official standpoints on certain problematic topics.

The main task for the students is to find a compromise between the interest of all the states.

Besides, the programme of the event includes meetings with diplomatic officials and representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, as well as lectures, excursions and many other activities.
