The participants of the International Youth Festival visited MAU

30 participants of the International Youth Festival from all over the world visited Murmansk Arctic University as part of an International Youth Festival 2024 thematic route «To live and work in Russia.» Such programmes are carried out in each region of the Russian Federation to improve the country's image as an open state that is an ambassador of a multipolar world.

The participants of the programme came from many different countries including Pakistan, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Cape Verde, Algeria, Burkina Faso, Argentina, Turkey, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Ghana, Panama, Kyrgyzstan, Ethiopia, Lesotho, Namibia, Jordan, Mexico, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Guinea, Peru, Benin, Tajikistan, and Ivory Coast.

The international students spoke to MAU representatives and journalists, visited Fishing Gallery of Fame, fishing vessel models exhibition, maritime training systems, laboratories of internal combustion engines, 3D-modelling of oil and gas processes, and robot engineering. Anastasia Pozdnyakova, speaker of the Russian society «Znanie» and manager of the International Cooperation office, organized a teambuilding training «Bridges of Friendship»: the students in mixed teams built bridges from pasta, actively supporting one another.

Then, the International Youth Festival participants had a chance to speak with the students and members of administration of Murmansk Arctic University in the Centre for Modern Art «Sopki 21A», attended a lecture on youth policies and videoconference with MAU Apatity branch.
